How To cure Occipatal Headache

Occipatal headache occurs at the occipit.

Some even refer this type of headache as a pain in the neck that usually occurs due to an inflammation, injury or undue pressure on the occipital nerves.

The pain also becomes apparent at times due to cervical spinal roots, dorsal horn or sensory ganglion.

At times, this headache type is characterized by paresthesia or algesia of the tissues of the scalp and the skin of the neck.

The Cause Of The Headache
Such a headache is caused by uninterrupted contraction of the semispinalis capitis. The semispinalis capitis has the ability of ensnaring the greater occipital nerve, thereby causing pain, numbness and a sort of burning sensation which starts from the occipatal region and reaches to the top most portions of the head.

The Nature Of The Pain
Such a headache type spreads to the eye region and the pain usually generates from the scalp to the eye. Generally tension is the cause of such a headache type.

Symptoms Of The Condition
It is very difficult to differentiate between a occipatal type of headache and other headache forms as symptoms of all the conditions well match with each other.

In the process, the nerve which tends to get affected starts palpitating vigorously.

What Does Traditional Chinese Medicine Say?
According to conventional Chinese medication such a type of headache occurs because of wind-cold trying to intrude on the greater yang channels.

When trying to go through the Practice of Chinese Medicine, you may come across what Giovanni Maciocia has to say "Cold, contracts and tightens the sinews and slows down the circulation of defensive qi, hence the typical feeling of stiffness at the back of the neck."

Occipatal headache is a typical physiological absurdity that can easily rob you of your normal life. Therefore, it is necessary that you get rid of the condition as fast as possible.
