Migraine Could Seriously Affect Your Life
Migraine is a serious and debilitating type of headache that affects a surprisingly high number of people.
This type of headache is normally one sided, and it is accompanied by some very unpleasant secondary symptoms such as vomiting and nausea as well as light sensitivity. This is all in addition to the often excruciating head pains caused by this type of headache, and many people find their lives deeply affected because of this problem.
Some people experience warning symptoms before a migraine comes on, and these symptoms are known as ‘aura; and can affect the eye. Some people may experience flashing or lines and others may experience blind spots. Other warning signals may include depression, increased appetite, and in some people even heightened sensations of happiness.
It can be triggered or exacerbated by a number of factors, and these include physical fatigue, mental fatigue, stress, weather changes, hormones, and certain types of food. It is very useful to know what the trigger factors are if you experience these types of headaches, as this will help you to gain increased control over the onset of your pains.
It is important to seek medical assistance if you suffer from this type of headache. Your doctor will be able to determine the best type of medication for your needs and circumstances, and can also offer advice based upon how the headaches affect you and what triggers them.
It is useful to make a note of when your headaches start and finish to make it easier to identify any trigger factors.
Controlling a migraine is far easier these days than it used to be, and although you may still experience severe pain and discomfort when this type of headache occurs, you may be able to control the frequency of the headaches with proper treatment.
