This type of migraine occurs in the eyes and causes partial or full blindness for less than an hour. The pain is sometimes accompanied by headache and sometimes it is not.

It may so happen that the headache can spark hours after the ocular migraine has attacked your eyes. The intensity of the pain depends upon the artery, which it attacks. The problem can persist for days, months or years.

It is advisable to visit the Ophthalmologist to make sure that there is not any other type of problem, you must be confronting. However, if the migraine in the eye is accompanied by a severe headache, then that needs immediate medical attention.

Silent Migraine
Silent migraine, as the name suggest takes place when the pain silently creeps in to your head or other parts of the body without giving you the least idea about its arrival.

If you confront migraine in the eye in the disguise of silent migraine, then you can feel the visual irritation but will surely lack to feel the pain in the head or eye. Nonetheless, you should visit the doctor before the attack.

The ophthalmic migraine has the similar symptoms with that of the ocular migraine. This type of migraine occurs most often in young men and sometimes takes a serious effect on the victim.

If the pain continues for a long period, then the sufferer will lose the headache and end up with the silent migraine.

Ophthalmoplegic Migraine
Research study shows that this type of migraine is very rare and technically is not a migraine related to the eyes. It comes with severe headache and causes weakness in the eye muscles. This result in decreased eye movement, temporary double vision, dilated pupil and drooping eyelids.

Basilar Migraine
If you think that the Basilar migraine is the migraine in the eye, then you are wrong. However, the symptoms of eye migraines share a common ground with the basilar migraine.

The symptoms include eye twitching, visual blurriness, partial blindness, vertigo, dizziness and many more.

Eye migraines occur at the peak of other migraine. For example, if you are suffering from severe migraine pain, then at some point you will start feeling extreme pain in the eye muscles.
