Cure Classic Migraine

A classic migraine is triggered with a warning sign, which is the “aura”.

The aura involves disturbances in your vision.

This form of migraine will make you experience flashing lights and colors, and under the effect, you may even lose your vision partially, like side vision.

Other symptoms of the classic migraine include a peculiar prickly feeling and a burning sensation, or a kind of muscle weakness on one side of the body. Depression, restlessness and irritability can also be accompanied with the classic migraines.

The auras that come with the classic type of migraine stay on for about 15 to 30 minutes, and come before or after your head pain. In this type of migraine, the head pain occurs on one part of the head or on both parts.

After the visual disturbance, there is a certain kind of numbness and a tingling sensation on the lips, hands and face, drowsiness, unsteady walking, confused thinking and the inability to speak properly.

Treating Classic Migraines
For this type of migraine, the drugs that are prescribed for providing relief are methysergide, clonidine and sodium vaporate. These are mainly used under hospital supervision, owing to their serious kind of side effects.

These drugs are in demand for treating this form of migraine because of their sedative and vasoconstrictory effects.

For treating migraine in some female patients, doctors may prescribe HRT or contraceptive pills for bringing about a change in the women's hormone levels.

However, there is no absolute cure for migraine, but you can definitely stop a migraine from occurring and get temporary relief from it when you get a migraine attack.

When a classic migraine starts with visual hallucinations like auras, you can experience zigzag lines, see temporary blind spots and flashing lights. You will also be experiencing pain in the eyes, a blurred kind of vision and sensitivity to bright light.

Thus, to get relief from such an excruciating pain, know what triggers the migraine pain in you, it can be a food item, like aged cheese or chocolates. Avoid what causes the pain and try to rest in a dark and silent room when faced with an attack.

Find out what medicines work best on you and learn what makes you feel better - this way, you can help yourself.
